What is Vardavar and Why Ode De Astghik?
Vardavar, an ancient Armenian festival, is celebrated 98 days after Easter. It is a day filled with joy, laughter, and lots of water!
Historically, Vardavar has pagan roots linked to the goddess of love, beauty, and water, Astghik. Today, it is celebrated with water fights, where everyone, young and old, can splash each other with water, symbolizing purification and refreshment.
