About AESA R&D program

The Research and Development Request for Proposal (RFP) program intends to support great ideas for science and technology projects in Armenia. We’re on the lookout for innovative proposals that can make a real difference. This program is our way of inviting researchers to share their smart solutions, and if selected, we provide the support they need to turn those ideas into reality. It’s our step towards a future where technology and innovation drive positive change in Armenia.

How is this helping Armenians or Armenia?

The RFP program supports science and technology projects in Armenia, fostering innovation and technology growth. By backing local and diaspora researchers, it helps them compete globally, putting Armenia on the map for cutting-edge advancements.

What is the budget of the campaign?

The total budget for the 2022 R&D campaign was approximately $25000 which was divided amongst of all the awarded projects.

Can some of the researchers be diaspora Armenians?

Yes of course! We encourage collaborations amongst teams and across nations. However, at least one member of the team should be based in Armenia, but this member does not necessarily need to possess Armenian citizenship.

Is there a time limit for the research to be concluded?

Proposers are required to provide a project schedule identifying major activities and milestones along with brief description of deliverables. Proposals should identify deliverables within the first year of award and a portion of award may be withheld until deliverable is submitted.

What happens if a research project needs more than the current budget?

Proposers are free to apply to other funding opportunities. Awarded projects are not restricted from applying to other funding opportunities.

About the submission process

Why do I need a Google account to submit my project?

Google accounts provides a safe environment for uploading files and prevent spam and fake/forged accounts. It is easy to use and setup, and most already possess a google account.
