Raffi holds an M.Sc. degree from Telecom Sud-Paris (2000) and a PhD in Computer Science/Mathematical Morphology from Ecole des Mines de Paris (2007). He has more than 25 years of experience in software development and architecture, and more than 15 years of experiences in research and applied mathematics, with a focus on signal/image processing, computer vision and machine learning. He has been with companies such as TF1, DxO, Pix4D as well as research institutes such as INRIA (France) and Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Germany). He is an active maintainer of the Boost.Test open source C++ library.
He currently works at Reasonal as Machine Learning lead, where he designs and develops predictive models for information flow within text documents. Raffi has been active within the Armenian communities both in France and Germany. Besides AESA, he is benevolent in several humanitarian/medical associations such as Kamurdsch-Brücke-eV. (Germany) as well as Santé Arménie (France). Growing AESA in Europe is his second top priority, right after mastering the cooking of some Armenian dishes.
