Petros holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of California at Berkeley, and has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in working several research oriented companies in the US primarily developing predictive models for the P & C insurance industry. He has co-founded a couple of companies. He co-founded a company (PIUR Panels) for manufacturing state-of-art structural panels. He has designed and set up the entire production line as well as filed several patents for the design and production of the same.
After spending his professional life in the United States, he decided to move back to Armenia with his family to give back to his country. Throughout the years, he has managed projects of all sizes covering areas like seismic design, human mortality and longevity studies (including research into the most recent COVID-19 pandemic), use of machine learning, data science and predictive analytics to solve a variety of problems in decision making under uncertainty.
