Biography

Angineh Shahnazarian is an Environmental Scientist with the California Environmental Protection Agency’s Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. In her role as a project manager and a permit writer within the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program, she is responsible for regulating stormwater discharges from municipalities under the MS4 permit. Her work focuses on protecting water quality and supporting compliance with environmental regulations across the region.

Angineh holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from USC. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Tehran Azad University of Medical Sciences.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Angineh has been a dedicated environmental advocate. She co-founded Green Armenia, a subgroup of AESA, aimed at raising awareness and supporting environmental activism in Armenia. As the current co-chair of Green Armenia, she leads efforts including public lectures, fundraisers, walkathons, and a fellowship program in Armenia that promotes environmental education and preservation.
