What is the Science Olympiad?
Established in February 2002, the Science Olympiad Committee (SOC) aims to inspire and engage young Armenian students in the sciences and engineering. By providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and achievements, the Olympiad seeks to foster a love for science and learning that extends beyond the classroom.
The Olympiad is an interscholastic academic competition that offers students the opportunity to participate in events that cover a wide range of scientific disciplines. These events are designed to challenge students’ creativity, scientific approach, comprehension, and presentation skills. The Olympiad follows the rules and regulations of the California State Science Fair and is judged by engineering professionals and scientists, many of whom hold advanced degrees in their fields.
