Biography

Mikael Matossian is an Energy Sector Manager at Tetra Tech, where he designs, delivers and evaluates clean energy programs for public and private sector partners worldwide. He was previously based in Armenia, where he served as deputy project manager and technical lead for a U.S. Government-funded energy security project that advanced institutional reform, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and emergency preparedness across the country. With expertise in renewable energy system design and policy analysis, he has led policy-regulatory assessments, designed grant windows for early-stage companies, conducted cost-benefit analyses, and created monitoring, evaluation and learning plans and tools to advance renewable energy and energy efficiency in developing countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Europe. He holds a master’s degree in energy science, technology and policy and bachelor’s degree in environmental science and engineering.
