AESA Online Lecture Series: Developing an Educational Growth Mindset

If you’re a student or the parent of a student, you’ll want to make a note on your calendar, Thursday 6/11/2020 evening at 7:30 PM PST, we’ll be holding a webinar that you won’t want to miss!

 

About the presentation:

“Developing an Educational Growth Mindset” will be centered around the importance of developing academic skills and addressing gaps early on in the educational journey in order to have the best opportunities when applying for college.

Linda Megerdichian, MSEE, and Daniel Mehrabian, M. Ed., combine their knowledge and expertise in both areas of consulting and teaching on a daily basis in order to ensure their students are successful in improving their academic performance as well as finding the right path to college.

Topics that will be addressed during the webinar:
– Learning styles
– Time management
– How to optimize the common study tools
– Benefits of seeking professional help
– How skill development fits into the college admissions
– Three main components of college admissions

We will also have a Q&A session toward the end of the webinar. We encourage you to come prepared with any questions you may have.

 

About the Presenters:

Daniel Mehrabian, M. Ed., is a well-known speaker and college consultant in the Los Angeles area with more than 15 years of experience in assisting families and students in navigating the college admissions process. His students have been accepted to the Ivy League universities, the UC’s and top international universities across the world.

Linda Megerdichian holds a B.S. degree from Azad University and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering – Digital and Computer Science from California State University, Northridge. Currently, she is a Digital Hardware Design Engineer, designing digital logic for high-speed signal processing devices. Besides her love for engineering, Linda is also passionate about educating the youth. From 2015 to 2019 she worked as the Director of Curriculum Development at a private tutoring company. Previously, she was a math and physics instructor from 2008 to 2012. Currently, she is the director of tutoring at EduProsUSA.

For the past 12 years, Linda has been focused on studying and understanding each student’s needs based on their learning style, strengths/weaknesses, and other major factors that have a huge impact on learning. She believes everyone is gifted and the key to learning better is to discover and understand the student’s needs and abilities so the educator can utilize the most useful methods to help them learn more efficiently.

Linda is passionate about STEM and wishes to inspire and help the youth so they can achieve their highest potential and make their dreams a reality.
