AESA Lecture Series: THREE M’S AND THREE F’S

August 8 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 pm

About the presentation:

These are exciting times with rapid development of silicon technologies, application of new mathematics and new programming paradigms all arising and converging. This discussion touches lightly on these important topics and shows how they are interconnected through the application of motion frames (video). There is something here for anyone interested in our brave new digital world, where it came from and where it is going.

About the speaker:

Ray Duran, Technology Specialist, Video Codec Design at Extron Electronics, has over 25 years of engineering experience in the area of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), developing applications for real-time environments such as video and military-based systems. Ray graduated with a BSEE degree from California State University Fresno in 1988 and masters in engineering from UCLA in 2014, with emphasis on digital signal processing. He is currently a Ph.D. student at University of North Dakota.
