On February 17, 2012, over 100 attendees from across the tri-state region gathered for the second annual student mentoring forum at Fordham University, to hear a series of 20 leaders in their field briefly describe career preparation for their professions - health care, law, science, engineering,
finance, education. Dozens of students and early-career professionals could hear and speak one-on-one with top experts in diverse specialties, in a lively two-part forum of presentations at 6-8 pm, followed by two hours of one-on-one mentoring that lingered past 10 PM. This forum was moderated by Vahan Tanal PE, Chairman Mentoring Committee, Armenian Engineers and Scientists of America, New York-New Jersey Section. It was hosted by the Fordham Organizational Leadership program and the Fordham Armenian Society.
The event was co-sponsored by the Armenian American Health Professionals Organization (www.AAHPO.org) and in cooperation with a tri-state consortium of professional societies:
Armenian Bar Association (www.armenianbar.org), Armenians in Finance and Banking,
AGBU with the support of Armenian Assembly and ANSEF.
