Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR & VR) are exciting technologies that can revolutionize how we interact with our world and one another. There are many trends, both technical and social, that are driving the industry forward and holding it back. This talk will introduce the different forms of AR/VR, analyze these trends with academic frameworks to prognosticate the future of this emerging space.
Varag is a Business Development manager at Clay Air Inc, a Venice-based computer vision company that enables users to interact with their devices in more natural ways.
Prior to Clay, Varag earned his M.S. in Engineering & Management from MIT. While at MIT, Varag was the co-president of the Product Management club and he worked with Mucker Capital and Applied Materials on their strategies in AR/VR, and with Hyperloop Transport Technologies to architect its passenger facing digital platform.
Prior to MIT, he was a Senior Consultant at Endeavour Partners, a boutique management consulting firm for leaders of technology companies. Varag consulted leading mobile device manufacturers, component suppliers, wireless carriers, and related startups with their business strategy, product portfolios, and Intellectual Property (IP).
Prior to joining Endeavour, Varag worked with one of the largest private wireless infrastructure companies, where he co-invented and developed a mobile wireless networking technology. He also worked as a stockbroker with Waddell & Reed, advising investors on their portfolios.
Varag also holds a B.S. in Structural Engineering from UC Irvine. During his free time, he enjoys playing chess, piano, basketball, and skiing.
